The 30-Yard Challenge

Support Opportunities for young people to practice the Skills, and to embody the Virtue of Service, by providing Lawn Mowing for the veterans, elderly, and disabled in our Community.

What Is The 30 Yard Challenge?
The 30 Yard Challenge is a service challenge for young people to mow 30 lawns for free for neighbors who need help—elderly residents, single parents, disabled homeowners, or anyone going through a tough season.
How the Challenge Works
- Commit - A young person (and parent/guardian) commits to mowing 30 lawns for NO CHARGE.
- Serve - Lawns are chosen based on need, not convenience.
- Learn - Participants learn lawn mowing basics:
- Safety and equipment use
- Communication and reliability
- Pride in quality work
Why The 30 Yard Challenge Exists
Many young people are suffering due to a disconnection from:
- Physical work
- Serving others
- Earning responsibility
- Learning how effort creates value
The 30 Yard Challenge gives them:
- A clear goal
- A real-life skill
- A reason to show up
- A chance to serve before they earn
What Participants Gain
Complete
After completing 30 yards, the challenge is finished—and the real reward begins.

Who Can Participate?
- Young People (10–18yrs, flexible based on maturity)
- Must have parent/guardian permission
- Willing to work, learn, and serve
- No experience required
All successful challengers (17 years old and under) will be awarded a Professional LawnCARE Kit
